Floral Christmas ornaments

Today I am sharing my last post for 2022. I cannot believe how the time has flown and we have completed another year. I am sure that you have found the same. I have a batch of Christmas cards to show you today that I made this year.

Faux Wax Seals

If you are in the crafting world here in the US, you may already know that Spellbinders released a new series of items to coordinate with a wax seal. The release is called "Sealed by Spellbinders". I love the long stemmed die cuts, but with my small crafting space, I was not wanted to add another element to it, so here is a great alternative for those who don't want to do the whole wax melting thing.

Today I am finally here to show you my project for the next challenge between BożenA and myself. She had to have lots of patience with me this time as I travelled out of the country and prepared for my craft show all in the time since she mentioned the topic.

Christmas cards

It has been a while that I last posted here and this week I am showing off some Christmas cards that I have made. Hubby convinced me to get a booth at some of our local winter craft fairs here and this being a first for me, I have no idea what to expect.

Pink bowl

More bowls! I wanted to make one of these that was not Christmas themed as I think that they are beautiful for any occasion. So using the Cathe Holden Square Bowl die set, I made a pink and purple bowl.

I cut the rounded square sides from heavyweight white cardstock and then cut two patterned paper pieces for each piece. The base is two heavyweight pieces of cardstock and one patterned paper of the plaid I chose for the inside.

I opted to crochet around the edges of this bowl. I used a thin hook and thin yarn rather than cotton as I wanted the edge to be fuller. I crocheted around each piece and then crocheted the sides to the base on all four edges of the base. This gave the bowl a little "ledge" at the bottom and made it look tidy.

I then stitched up the sides to the level at which it shaped outwards and completed the project with some embellishments. The front has a sticker on it that says "I craft past my bedtime". Anyone else guilty of that?

A 3D Birdhouse >>

A 3D Birdhouse

Today I am back with another "house" made with the 3D vignette Pet House dies from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken, but this time I made a birdhouse.

Dog or Cat house

Today I am back with two projects for another new Spellbinders release. This time the release is a 3D vignette one - which is new to me. I was given the 3D Vignette Pet House to create with and while I was excited about it, I was rather intimidated. But it was not difficult to assemble and there are instructions that come with the die set.

Northern Birdsong

This is the last project I have to share with you from the September 2022 Spellbinders release. This one is another die set from the Winter Tales collection and it is called Folk Song.

Some simple paper piecing

Christmas is my favorite holiday and this die set is so pretty. I love the versatility it affords with inlay options and adding elements or leaving them off.

Christmas bowls

I am so excited to show you these projects that I made. These bowls are made with a new Spellbinders die set that cuts the base and the walls with the holes and then one can put them together to create these 3D projects. The dies and paper pack that I used are from the new Fleamarket Finds by Cathe Holden release.

A different cowgirl

It is Friday yet again! Today I am here with my final DT project for Kinda Cute. Patricia has decided to close her digi shop down and so the design team has disbanded.

Magical Deer

Hello Blogland! I am back with two projects that I created with the Magical Deer die set from the new Spellbinders Winter Tales release. This is a lovely deer with a Nordic design. I opted to go with magical colors in keeping with the name of the die set.

Christmas Flourish

I am back here with a new card to show you. This is another invitation from Spellbinders to participate in a new collection and this time I am working with the Merry Flourish from the Christmas Flourish collection by Becca Feeken. This one is an elegant design.

Nordic Ornaments

I am excited to have been invited to participate in a few collections of the September release at Spellbinders and so here I am with the Nordic Ornaments from the Winter Tales collection.

Some Stamping

I am back again with another project for Spellbinders and the last one showcasing the August 2022 release. This time I did some stamping using stamps from the Gnome for Christmas collection. As you know, stamping is not something I do a lot of, so here we go.

Spring and Fall

I am here today with another design that I created for Spellbinders on an invitation they sent me to create with a new release. This one is from the Seasonal Label Motifs collection and I received the Spring Label Motif die set to create with.

The Birdhouse

It is Friday again and so here I am with a delayed project that I was wanting to post last week. But last week flew by without me getting it completed. This is my DT project for August for Kinda Cute and I used one of Patricia's sweet houses from the Bird Houses Digital Stamp Set.

Wow, it is Friday again. Am I the only one who does not know where the time goes? I am here today with two cards, still from the new Spellbinders release which they graciously asked me to create with. The first one is from the Tinsel Time release and the second one from Gnome for the Holidays.

I am back again today with another train card using the Holiday Express die set from the new Tinsel Time release by Spellbinders. Today I want to show that the die set works really well for other occasions too.

Today is Friday and I am here with two cards. I had recently purchased a die set that allows one to make different dog breeds and so I had a play and made some dogs. Here are two cards I made with the dogs that I made with the die set.

Window Inspiration

Today I am posting a project I made to join in the Altenew Monthly challenge as the inspiration picture really spoke to me this month. I have added it to the blog post so you can see the starting point of this project. I decided to go with a window on my card as this was the point that I found inspiring.

Today is my final post of a week of Spellbinders dies. I made a different card with the same Magnolia Blooms die that I had used in my previous post. This time the flowers are the focal image rather than the background.

It is Friday again and today I am here to show you my project for the challenge between myself and BożenA. I chose the theme for this one and with all that the world is going through, I felt a good topic would be "Hope" - what inspires us with hope. I really did not know myself at the time how I was going to depict that.

Hello Blogland! Today I am showing another DT project for Kinda Cute and this time I am using the Balloons digi set. I decided to use the dog balloon, but the others are also so cute. The background is a paper from Patricia's Coral Easter paper set.

Oxide Ink Backgrounds

Today I am showing two cards that I made after a time of experimenting with the smooshing technique with Distress Oxide inks. I have wanted to try this in more detail for a while and now that I have a crafty space that is not the dining room table, I started a session.

A card with gold foil

Today I am here with not only a blog post, but also my very first attempt at a video of my process. I wanted to make an Easter card for each of the families in our small congregation and so opted for gold foil and white. I think this is a very elegant look.
