Touch of Winter

Well the snow is gone and it has warmed up again nicely - so we can live again lol. I recently came across the Altenew Inspiration challenge and I was intrigued by the color palette and the inspiration project done by Nathalie DeSousa. While hers used alcohol inks and I don't have alcohol inks, I used her inspiration to create my watercolor background.

Pears in a vase

Today I am here playing in the Outlawz Progessive Challenge. It is fun to play again from the challenge side. This month the sponsor is Jan's Digistamps and the image is Fall Pears. I had completed my project a few days ago, but my normal stony backdrop for taking the pictures was nowhere to be seen! Yes, we had a decent layer of snow - I had to make a snowman (see pic below). We got quite a lot more snow before my stones returned.

Foiling with a laminator

Today I have a project to show you that has a first attempt for me on it again - the foiled background. I received a laminator as a gift some months back and so I have, as time allows, been trying various designs. Since I don't have a laser printer, I am using the local copy shop to get the laser prints I need. This one the machine's toner seemed to not spread very evenly, but I opted to try it anyway and I really liked the almost distressed look that came out the back of the laminator.

Travel

It is time for another challenge between myself and BożenA and our theme is "Travel". It could be any form of travel, both physical or metaphorical. Although I chose the theme this time and I did know what route I wanted to take with it, it took me a while to find some inspiration for how I was going to show what I had in my mind. But it was year end and such times come with many other distractions and so in general, my crafting table was not busy.

Anyway, back to our project. I decided to create another page in my art journal for this one.

Panda with a difference

Hello Blogland! Yes, here I am after quite a long absence. The year-end was quite busy including a change of location for our RV. We decided to do small town for a while. The peace is almost palpable and the silence loud, but we are enjoying it a lot.

Recently I saw that Kris at Imagine That Digistamps had started a progressive challenge. I love her stamps and when I saw this cute panda, I had to join. So here is my make.
