I wanted to try combining some foiling with a little bit of Copic coloring and still keep the card CAS.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj53MtpGKoXVTgG8Leou06wQIkscWCVOSoFv5LKyKRo3KoGE1bS_dyNe9_6w1ESTRqrL7QDOlmN2_7x3P2tkBpW5mkVM8FpCeMEGMQ44IF_KZZp7IHdDXzXgOjQ1g88XwfpMnGlXWBNC4WOFbgLpgjwwyG9KGOTcf8IhXbix_cCOaEXt5P4lTk2fMPD9uM/s2500/Nov62023_Nov32023_1.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj53MtpGKoXVTgG8Leou06wQIkscWCVOSoFv5LKyKRo3KoGE1bS_dyNe9_6w1ESTRqrL7QDOlmN2_7x3P2tkBpW5mkVM8FpCeMEGMQ44IF_KZZp7IHdDXzXgOjQ1g88XwfpMnGlXWBNC4WOFbgLpgjwwyG9KGOTcf8IhXbix_cCOaEXt5P4lTk2fMPD9uM/s320/Nov62023_Nov32023_1.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Using Silhouette Studio to get good placement of the design, I placed the sentiment twice and then removed one of the words from each instance so that I had a stacked sentiment result. I added the birds to the top of the words, with enough space so that I could foil the sentiment without getting any foil on the birds - remembering that since all was printed on a laser printer, it was all toner and would foil if foil was placed on it. I printed one panel onto white cardstock and one panel onto a light teal cardstock.<br /><br />I lined the foil up carefully before sending it through the Minc machine so that it only covered the sentiment. I fussy cut the birds from the teal printed panel and added some shading with my Copic markers and the Copic blender. I used BG49, BG15 and BG10.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXKi_-kWwnntNf7qdl1whdhvp2i3ekMZ-12R-TWE_Nz0tAH0wIYJJDWQgt4hympsdgO6L_AF0bl_T0dNcj3T0q1OMiDVhheWzjdblfgq33QCPLefXrO66d6kWPt88Q2Lo44_qmzglzCeQSzPrrJ0g7BVkX2SgETEmiScu_n_Eb7enUW7KNK6Yw0jhZhNU/s2500/Nov62023_Nov32023_2.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXKi_-kWwnntNf7qdl1whdhvp2i3ekMZ-12R-TWE_Nz0tAH0wIYJJDWQgt4hympsdgO6L_AF0bl_T0dNcj3T0q1OMiDVhheWzjdblfgq33QCPLefXrO66d6kWPt88Q2Lo44_qmzglzCeQSzPrrJ0g7BVkX2SgETEmiScu_n_Eb7enUW7KNK6Yw0jhZhNU/s320/Nov62023_Nov32023_2.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I completed the card by gluing the teal birds on top of the printed ones on the white panel and then using a black glaze pen to add legs and dots on the eyes. This challenge starts in November and goes until December 15. This is now the final push to complete this year's Christmas cards.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQdNDVP9k6eV6o_U7j0n5F9Q9-PaNehXamILIMX3nNNKGF_Z7I6IJi6j0pR3U_Z0aimt1v6_1qNgdsw81MRLbf1PdHse6eS6bxicuV7fx5okStv3v8SXQDEjAA3zKSEXDeXBvmJpcZrx3ryD7ScF9D94LpBC5ZxSHYBVNjHEFiGDvfp70sA_vWSvVLSeA/s1250/MonicaC_Oct142023_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQdNDVP9k6eV6o_U7j0n5F9Q9-PaNehXamILIMX3nNNKGF_Z7I6IJi6j0pR3U_Z0aimt1v6_1qNgdsw81MRLbf1PdHse6eS6bxicuV7fx5okStv3v8SXQDEjAA3zKSEXDeXBvmJpcZrx3ryD7ScF9D94LpBC5ZxSHYBVNjHEFiGDvfp70sA_vWSvVLSeA/s320/MonicaC_Oct142023_1.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I chose to use the G column this time and the three elements that I used were Red, Die Cuts and FREE. For my FREE element, I used foiling. I recently acquired a Minc machine after much deliberation and my only regret was that I had not done so sooner. On this card I printed the background pattern onto red cardstock with my laser printer and then foiled it with gold foil. The focal point is a Spellbinders poinsettia die which I cut out a white and out of gold cardstock. I colored the white flower leaves with copic markers and inlayed them into the gold outline.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_TknjSrZFlcRRjBfhJjlMBetTSi1qP_-ivwRaO0pxRmm794RISuhBq5ZvOQEoZP0nRgBv36rDmU8arOhLwenku4zJSJOXnUW7YjZjSewv80YsV8Cpht0HKWYoHGsX5Zfi7OUPm6Jdw1rS2Za1YL33jnmY4JlGuK6rDUB4jXelrbbNizBkIafL6RnUHzE/s1250/MonicaC_Oct142023_2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_TknjSrZFlcRRjBfhJjlMBetTSi1qP_-ivwRaO0pxRmm794RISuhBq5ZvOQEoZP0nRgBv36rDmU8arOhLwenku4zJSJOXnUW7YjZjSewv80YsV8Cpht0HKWYoHGsX5Zfi7OUPm6Jdw1rS2Za1YL33jnmY4JlGuK6rDUB4jXelrbbNizBkIafL6RnUHzE/s320/MonicaC_Oct142023_2.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I completed my card with a preprinted sentiment from Waffle Flower. It is time for the mid month inspiration over at Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog and since I have just taken the leap to buy a Minc machine, of course I had to do some foiling.<div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaA1KwhOWyt95UPcxOJe2enzMAhC-K477Sr3pQoWnQZt6rjt2g10mwQtVolPyfxa5muAFHMfOnUifsvcPfG6PQ2WtHM-_j9EFUOmB4wP1zzQ1_1ZIFNhupJf-LpINoVJouEUh0g3R9YdcpxQcnRoagtuqN9mBYWUOGPHqTgDC4gxiTPoDdAPTydGSuu9A/s2500/Oct162023_Oct142023_1.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaA1KwhOWyt95UPcxOJe2enzMAhC-K477Sr3pQoWnQZt6rjt2g10mwQtVolPyfxa5muAFHMfOnUifsvcPfG6PQ2WtHM-_j9EFUOmB4wP1zzQ1_1ZIFNhupJf-LpINoVJouEUh0g3R9YdcpxQcnRoagtuqN9mBYWUOGPHqTgDC4gxiTPoDdAPTydGSuu9A/s320/Oct162023_Oct142023_1.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the new "Santa's Coming" stamp set and added the precolored holly branch image to each corner of the top of the card, flipping the right hand one horizontally. I added the Joyful Christmas from the same stamp set further down on the card panel and then printed the panel out on my laser printer. I then added a small piece of gold foil to the sentiment, being sure that I did not get any onto the colored image. I then ran the panel through the Minc and the results were beautiful. I was so pleased.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwPFxm9Vu0NoYeyYEeGyJErOV_eWtXNszifNEy60shyphenhyphen1bWJQ_qHF5fgWG0au-V6FFvbR_RFXm63SKKQ4vO16J8lXjL4GLyiMJnHdYOlr36Nm6L0KOFvrjWwrEaj3YLACVVnlM8NTKZOIFbd6HoOq3A_BK9bEPwNLunL0Eo2NuVmYIBwoZj_1NEM3ZO8KY/s2500/Oct162023_Oct142023_2.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwPFxm9Vu0NoYeyYEeGyJErOV_eWtXNszifNEy60shyphenhyphen1bWJQ_qHF5fgWG0au-V6FFvbR_RFXm63SKKQ4vO16J8lXjL4GLyiMJnHdYOlr36Nm6L0KOFvrjWwrEaj3YLACVVnlM8NTKZOIFbd6HoOq3A_BK9bEPwNLunL0Eo2NuVmYIBwoZj_1NEM3ZO8KY/s320/Oct162023_Oct142023_2.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I completed the card by adding the cardpanel to a gold cardstock matte and then the matte onto a white top-folding cardbase. I can hardly believe it. This is my first card this month for <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a> and today I have been playing on my tablet again in the app Procreate.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkSkHIa_JgHMmbwwSK35GDYnhAKV283B02mc5yhPhIjY4xCsuEc-H2zrG_PQhHwq1I2eDR3d3_YlDRJS1lKS4tHsViWccorVlYJx1L59fTpOwiZ_2BJ2dswOouSFwPDg00FgHgp0ddvCIul88vu8qpQL2h--pGYRV7ulx1r5HFIfdyg_NTiyFYYt-NC4/s2160/Oct22023_Jul72023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2160" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkSkHIa_JgHMmbwwSK35GDYnhAKV283B02mc5yhPhIjY4xCsuEc-H2zrG_PQhHwq1I2eDR3d3_YlDRJS1lKS4tHsViWccorVlYJx1L59fTpOwiZ_2BJ2dswOouSFwPDg00FgHgp0ddvCIul88vu8qpQL2h--pGYRV7ulx1r5HFIfdyg_NTiyFYYt-NC4/s320/Oct22023_Jul72023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the pre-colored candy cane image from the stamp set and created the background patterned paper by arranging the candy canes in horizontal lines, alternating the orientation of the canes. I then placed an uncolored PNG version of the image on top of the background in a new layer and colored it in Procreate - experimenting with light and shadows. I opted for a green bow here - just because. I placed a white outline to the image on a layer between the cane and the background, to give it that sticker look and so that my colored candy cane would be differentiated from the background.<br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I then printed out the cardpanel and added it to a white A2 cardbase. I die cut the sentiment out of white cardstock and added it to the card. While the die cut adds a little dimension, that is all that is physically popped up on the card.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_oN1tisAVkC5xJI7epkBUcdaV0Qa58XFWGoDMcHjWbBGjwxhx3BDrS-kTrZR-bE2bkAAUUFq54cz41yYlmKzVcsiPgRBpzBPGmbb-pTWF19iEfblmjqYrkUKgkZJscGpZuIDpQhoQW1tJpE5aA46ib4KUZyaGeRul8DTBn_khuJteV8h5RDmhuAjk4r4/s2160/Oct22023_Jul72023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2160" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_oN1tisAVkC5xJI7epkBUcdaV0Qa58XFWGoDMcHjWbBGjwxhx3BDrS-kTrZR-bE2bkAAUUFq54cz41yYlmKzVcsiPgRBpzBPGmbb-pTWF19iEfblmjqYrkUKgkZJscGpZuIDpQhoQW1tJpE5aA46ib4KUZyaGeRul8DTBn_khuJteV8h5RDmhuAjk4r4/s320/Oct22023_Jul72023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>We would love to see your creation over at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>. The first card is a large gnome with a snowflake. This die set is special in that the gnome has large arms that can be positioned outwards or, like I did, inwards. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyXDgargi7RqYe9VzB_ncFD2XtdgnibmAo2DTx7D9YS0U5w3S_JzRuygcIAzRI6IRkMcEN_hogNXttMtRVfdImugcmkUi53ZOyx6ILtORUJqO1wj5mZrmivACu2LTCmw5FiPM6Jn5eFW9HRBidD9N8R3p14xYUFJDMX3Cm3w6ztk2OF2aM4wSyEsXdmAk/s2500/Gnome-hugs_%20Sep162023_1.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyXDgargi7RqYe9VzB_ncFD2XtdgnibmAo2DTx7D9YS0U5w3S_JzRuygcIAzRI6IRkMcEN_hogNXttMtRVfdImugcmkUi53ZOyx6ILtORUJqO1wj5mZrmivACu2LTCmw5FiPM6Jn5eFW9HRBidD9N8R3p14xYUFJDMX3Cm3w6ztk2OF2aM4wSyEsXdmAk/s320/Gnome-hugs_%20Sep162023_1.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>I opted to go with a more vintage look to this card and so used a kraft cardpanel for the base of my composition. I made the gnome in dusty shades of red and used a duller green for the embossed frame. The Sweater Weather embossing folder is great for the colder season. This was the first time I had got to use the Glitter Craft Foam and it die cuts so well. I used it to make the snowflake that the gnome is holding.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6BvjD0W6taV6s6dlN72HjH4TkM24IqynXFFqsKa1AtHPLmqs8LDkdSZMyNKUkFinVrJk2mUYm4eXJsXIBR1B12e2TATtnJOHY73-TFjaeLA16nl00bEwQBlzx9avnNGUhIIpX0kC6KuqZF-J3a-jhJlZmNtBycupb0NGSxsODhZDTGI4PkafF-tzF99U/s2500/Gnome-hugs_%20Sep162023_2.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6BvjD0W6taV6s6dlN72HjH4TkM24IqynXFFqsKa1AtHPLmqs8LDkdSZMyNKUkFinVrJk2mUYm4eXJsXIBR1B12e2TATtnJOHY73-TFjaeLA16nl00bEwQBlzx9avnNGUhIIpX0kC6KuqZF-J3a-jhJlZmNtBycupb0NGSxsODhZDTGI4PkafF-tzF99U/s320/Gnome-hugs_%20Sep162023_2.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The Gnome Hugs die set has two gnomes in it as well as some other elements. Today I am here to show you my first project for September for <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>. This one is colored with my pencils and resulted in quite a flat card.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0af_md5045h7zFqXn8yP9oKpFqS2AV3nOyh5jZ3WJKbX-u_ivG3sbPW77NL90QUGrh1rzvjgIInF7g5ESngK1luIxMfjBLRZ-6jznrgESVYSpJraSLrZspwO2uYskBLG7p9RG6D4aE6jRfe7zOcaCxJ5kfj1MY05SJ3vIuBLQuqCUYPjcYK66_mQERq8/s2500/Aug262023_Sep42023.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0af_md5045h7zFqXn8yP9oKpFqS2AV3nOyh5jZ3WJKbX-u_ivG3sbPW77NL90QUGrh1rzvjgIInF7g5ESngK1luIxMfjBLRZ-6jznrgESVYSpJraSLrZspwO2uYskBLG7p9RG6D4aE6jRfe7zOcaCxJ5kfj1MY05SJ3vIuBLQuqCUYPjcYK66_mQERq8/s320/Aug262023_Sep42023.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>Using the Peppermint Santa stamp set (linked below), I printed the digital stamp and sentiment out onto Canson C a grain paper and colored them with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I opted to go with a green candy cane so that not everything would be red and also because mint is green, in my opinion. I also tried a new red combo on Santa's suit and I love the richness of it. It is Tuscan Red, Scarlet Lake and Permanent Red.<div><br /></div><div>Once I had colored the image, I cut the panel down to 3.75x5 inches and matted it onto a piece of green cardstock measuring 4x5.25 inches. I then added the cardpanel to a kraft cardbase. This one is easy to mail.</div><div><br /></div><div>I would like to invite you to join us at the new "Anything Goes" challenge at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>. It was her turn to call the challenge theme and she chose "stencils". She could not have timed it better as I had just received my new crafty toys from Waffle Flower which consisted of the Postage Collage stencil set and I also had time to spend in my craft room. The Merry Christmas sentiment is a Spellbinders die.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb92rHtV2rQo8Ms00qQep-QKP_bNbQaO0KlSRuAzUxWbZCY_Eae0nEgLGq6ggJWBBEip_qKD6Jm0JdUkIv6ve-WBS8mNCke-v5F7uDZ_O2WfdunbcXPtgpdnT0lwDMmOrk_KG5lyt4YxkYyaNIcOiVeapTlLYstWdJ9iPK1_QsO8NkGwFr-KfJShrFFGM/s2500/Colorful-Postage.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb92rHtV2rQo8Ms00qQep-QKP_bNbQaO0KlSRuAzUxWbZCY_Eae0nEgLGq6ggJWBBEip_qKD6Jm0JdUkIv6ve-WBS8mNCke-v5F7uDZ_O2WfdunbcXPtgpdnT0lwDMmOrk_KG5lyt4YxkYyaNIcOiVeapTlLYstWdJ9iPK1_QsO8NkGwFr-KfJShrFFGM/s320/Colorful-Postage.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My second card is similar, but I used the Coloring Stencil set and created a card in brown and pink. I added a sentiment cut with a Lawn Fawn die.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5yySUrOuX6MVpZdacDcmEkxpfvMAJazt-YoQzKnmamYjWwrylQ4a5_1oLcKSxAUxaThBGkEWy4ar7JwDJnY34hsAKBxxIqliAbylKB0zqL-_N7eil6dAuVci9cUEuooNNDdvt6j6aW0pYJhrwKrQVCgC0vkfRHAlMQ2qUT1cOQd_wwr12PzzFAzac18w/s2500/Everyday-Postage.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2500" data-original-width="2500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5yySUrOuX6MVpZdacDcmEkxpfvMAJazt-YoQzKnmamYjWwrylQ4a5_1oLcKSxAUxaThBGkEWy4ar7JwDJnY34hsAKBxxIqliAbylKB0zqL-_N7eil6dAuVci9cUEuooNNDdvt6j6aW0pYJhrwKrQVCgC0vkfRHAlMQ2qUT1cOQd_wwr12PzzFAzac18w/s320/Everyday-Postage.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My last card is a mini slimline card and done with the Everyday Collage stencil set. This time I have a quick and simple card using pre-colored image from Jan's new stamp set called Dog Days of Summer.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX26PtSho73z2g7u62BIzP46VT42idkNiT7t-Rxu9pNJXtxiMRLQH6Q2xEyNe_zyIS4k2eW48FHnLqe6VeyC5oWtvagtreKExh02EUjc61Na-4xmz7R-z-NEtA80xs2lqNGk5y4O5otYAkh8RntU3CqN84fkE275jgYH03R5u-PxUd0DEm7OnS86MM0tk/s1080/Aug212023_Jul72023.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX26PtSho73z2g7u62BIzP46VT42idkNiT7t-Rxu9pNJXtxiMRLQH6Q2xEyNe_zyIS4k2eW48FHnLqe6VeyC5oWtvagtreKExh02EUjc61Na-4xmz7R-z-NEtA80xs2lqNGk5y4O5otYAkh8RntU3CqN84fkE275jgYH03R5u-PxUd0DEm7OnS86MM0tk/s320/Aug212023_Jul72023.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I printed the image out through Silhouette Studio so that I could create the shape in an offset. I cut the dog out and two offset shapes from white cardstock and glued them together. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I printed it on the bottom of a cardpanel.<br /><br />The assembly was then quick, I added the cardpanel to a cardbase and popped the dog onto the card with low-profile foam squares.<br /><br />Our challenge is still ongoing and we hope that you will join us there at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>. I have always been nervous about doing this because I was afraid that the markers would bleed into the background. This is my first project this month for <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>.<div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLBSZKEFqXugTYUATbhagt_1ZICJjUZtF5r92_fv2-lpBewDH-m3qKFbJV4wltNvfCWv0TIEqr0i5xogslGgtebSaTMi1ds7sCzdKBYRUrYqUpaqxHB789KVSzaTFp3zYeBqpWIQgqLFdnLee5X75YZdwIeOclm1pUGt8XgxSH6KLrPPk9VDs80ZakL8Q/s2160/Aug72023_Jul82023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2160" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLBSZKEFqXugTYUATbhagt_1ZICJjUZtF5r92_fv2-lpBewDH-m3qKFbJV4wltNvfCWv0TIEqr0i5xogslGgtebSaTMi1ds7sCzdKBYRUrYqUpaqxHB789KVSzaTFp3zYeBqpWIQgqLFdnLee5X75YZdwIeOclm1pUGt8XgxSH6KLrPPk9VDs80ZakL8Q/s320/Aug72023_Jul82023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>Using Silhouette Studio, I designed my card in a 4 x 5.25 inch rectangle. I filled the rectangle with the yellow gingham digital paper and placed the bouquet in a jar digi in the space, resizing it to fit in the bottom right corner. I then printed it out on my laser printer, to be sure that the alcohol ink wouldn't smudge the lines.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Using my Copic markers, I added some loose color to the flowers, stems and jar. I used only two shades per color and left white for the highlight. This served to give a highlight and to prevent ink bleed. Once the coloring was done, I added the panel to a white notecard and added a die cut sentiment above the image.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ7V40ua_CXIXBskJ9jlenALm6jY-o2Q9gfVLOxNiKANINRBZ0ghkUDEo0MsGzqIazNTPVh20pvk6yWfQL-7KPB8LMUm26Nz2Tl4F5I74su7w31_fIBxuaHMH1Iqimc8HhSgYERSQ-0k7cbbE8xibsTJ-4fckygF5qK0Vq-moKC7uVEYqGA2Wu1zIXtWI/s2160/Aug72023_Jul82023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2160" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ7V40ua_CXIXBskJ9jlenALm6jY-o2Q9gfVLOxNiKANINRBZ0ghkUDEo0MsGzqIazNTPVh20pvk6yWfQL-7KPB8LMUm26Nz2Tl4F5I74su7w31_fIBxuaHMH1Iqimc8HhSgYERSQ-0k7cbbE8xibsTJ-4fckygF5qK0Vq-moKC7uVEYqGA2Wu1zIXtWI/s320/Aug72023_Jul82023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>We would love to see your projects in our challenge over at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog</a>. I can hear what you are saying "That was fast!" Yes, this time we were quick in creating our projects and are excited to publish today.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8L2R6OS_KZQ8ZiRimMUX_4eF2UVhoKg1qsQCTnGOFIOWlHvKsTzXS-4DytT9zCvg1qWGnsHWHcXy_u0VnXJ2b65PO3LRarZgcuSpfZUWUyN_sTKsono6j-TTwt_lz8K3rDjz_AXKQ8iGl_vikj2ozRcglGV6WlArT1ToMXG5yqo0J6byIMx5OPenH_Ao/s2400/Snowmen_Jul312023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2400" data-original-width="2400" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8L2R6OS_KZQ8ZiRimMUX_4eF2UVhoKg1qsQCTnGOFIOWlHvKsTzXS-4DytT9zCvg1qWGnsHWHcXy_u0VnXJ2b65PO3LRarZgcuSpfZUWUyN_sTKsono6j-TTwt_lz8K3rDjz_AXKQ8iGl_vikj2ozRcglGV6WlArT1ToMXG5yqo0J6byIMx5OPenH_Ao/s320/Snowmen_Jul312023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>It was my turn to call the theme for our challenge and I suggested that we create a scene with die cuts only. So no stamping, embossing or anything else other than die cuts. Adding color to the die cuts was allowed or one could use colored cardstock. Since we have had such a crazy heat wave here in Arizona, I decided it was time to try out my Build-a-Snowman die set which I have had for a while, but never used. So I created some snowmen using the various accessories.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I created a scene on the front of a note card with a panel of blue cardstock onto which I added "snow" with a white gel pen. I created two snow banks and using a village die set that I have in my stash, I assembled some houses. The pine trees and snow caps are also from the village die set.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWuuO7YlP2wcYaYGAvxbXJBUl1Mgxww0KtzEMP-IzzD_fulQMD-wV92ef54m_LvbfJASKZL9w-UheYozQLMqRDj173AfLkPhaZMxpgRQ7dTZ6FMBdZgPfaP5yaeB5nLfiyYGNOf1bKdc4dzrkJEsToezfif9ZIC2keE7k2X-iPBtym7bWwuYEBjuin638/s3024/Snowmen_Jul312023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWuuO7YlP2wcYaYGAvxbXJBUl1Mgxww0KtzEMP-IzzD_fulQMD-wV92ef54m_LvbfJASKZL9w-UheYozQLMqRDj173AfLkPhaZMxpgRQ7dTZ6FMBdZgPfaP5yaeB5nLfiyYGNOf1bKdc4dzrkJEsToezfif9ZIC2keE7k2X-iPBtym7bWwuYEBjuin638/s320/Snowmen_Jul312023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I assembled my snowy scene with all the little pieces. The back snow bank is glued directly to the cardpanel and the front one is popped up on foam tape. I used colored cardstock for the houses and the trees, but added color with alcohol markers to white cardstock on the various accessories on the snowmen. I completed the cards by using sentiment dies and holographic metallic cardstock.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div>I am excited to see what scene BożenA has created and I would like to invite you to <a href="https://artcardbox.blogspot.com/2023/08/wykrojniki-tylko-one.html" target="_blank">visit her project</a> and leave her a comment while you are there. Now it is her turn to determine our next challenge.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><i>In line with new European Data Protection Laws (GDPR) by commenting you know that your name and comment are visible to all who visit this blog and thereby consent to the use of your personal information for this specific purpose.</i></div><div>

Not only have I not been able to spend time in my craft room, but I have also been traveling. It was <span face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-size: small;">BożenA's</span> turn to call the challenge and she chose a technique using tissue paper, inks and texture. I smooshed orange, yellow, green and pink onto my glass mat, sprayed the ink with water and dunked the tissue paper into it. The color burst was instant and amazing. I picked the tissue paper up carefully and placed it on a piece of cardstock to dry.</div><div><br /></div><div>Once dry, I applied white glue to the cardstock with a sponge and placed the colorful tissue paper over the glue, bunching the tissue paper up to form "ridges". I then coated the tops of the ridges with Versamark ink and added gold embossing powder. It was quite spectacular after heat setting it. I then cut the panel down to be 4.75 x 6.75 inches and added it to a black 5x7 notecard.</div><div><br /></div><div>I wanted the background to show and not be hidden by any focal point and so opted to use the Altenew die that cuts the word "hugs" from the center of a circle. I cut the same word from black cardstock and glued it in the inlay. I drew around the circle with a black glaze pen and added a printed sub-sentiment.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn65XNhBP2vWneCO10E3NSvHRof-UIeedZ9WOPXs1BPZIkfJ7pWSGKK3Q-d8yE_hRk_YxXCW8hWPBXvKAuS1OsIVJThuY1jjBfm8HEyig6cHJlf7sJim83cw2XeS8glogt0DQQFEUyOw66nMG5ZkAmWk-hRw3ASdQ6evpjSyyo88bHYO5d6lnMmG0bVok/s4080/TissuePaper_Jul82023_3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4080" data-original-width="4080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn65XNhBP2vWneCO10E3NSvHRof-UIeedZ9WOPXs1BPZIkfJ7pWSGKK3Q-d8yE_hRk_YxXCW8hWPBXvKAuS1OsIVJThuY1jjBfm8HEyig6cHJlf7sJim83cw2XeS8glogt0DQQFEUyOw66nMG5ZkAmWk-hRw3ASdQ6evpjSyyo88bHYO5d6lnMmG0bVok/s320/TissuePaper_Jul82023_3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Since my work surface was already messy, I made a second background using blue, pink and yellow. This one had lower ridges, but I still heat embossed them.</div><div><br /></div><div>To complete this card, I cut the words "beautiful you" out of the panel and inlayed the same words cut in black. I added black die cuts using Spellbinders dies from the Sealed Collection. Can you believe it that we are now officially in the second half of the year? Well, believe it or not, here we are. And here is my second DT project for the <a href="https://christmasbingochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Christmas BINGO Challenge Blog</a>. This time I chose the B column - Digital Image, Buttons, Plaid/Check or Gingham, FREE, Blue.<div><br /><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFZHk2pVTpO9zgR3EDDxhKnIk2v75OK66ae4xZMpVNKNrG9CnYhXwehfnSWWusW1xQ_kLuKHUKYbXTV4c_OuV9tWkEC6Z5yTsuKHHnpT2_uboQQ2CH790IebbKuk_g63ktnDSCiZWxIMviqx9pmIKG_USUUv2NmCuFFIWvL6dRm5hj6vIQeWGVLruD/s2107/MonicaC_June152023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2107" data-original-width="2107" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFZHk2pVTpO9zgR3EDDxhKnIk2v75OK66ae4xZMpVNKNrG9CnYhXwehfnSWWusW1xQ_kLuKHUKYbXTV4c_OuV9tWkEC6Z5yTsuKHHnpT2_uboQQ2CH790IebbKuk_g63ktnDSCiZWxIMviqx9pmIKG_USUUv2NmCuFFIWvL6dRm5hj6vIQeWGVLruD/s320/MonicaC_June152023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I used a digital stamp called Christmas Owl by The Paper Shelter and colored it in Procreate. I added another layer behind the layer with the focal image onto which I added the blue gingham digital paper. I had so fulfilled Digital Image, Gingham and Blue. I chose to forego Buttons and used FREE with a die cut for the sentiment.</div><div><br /></div><div>Here is the BINGO card for this challenge. As is my undertaking this month, I am working with the pre-colored images.<div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpWaAGAqbue0jLh_cBXNAWQKVJQYFC7pYKrSj26xsL5DZccD722QaPQmhkPVPnxnsHMNnNQHdrVNc9XP6SRNKYWEFsv4LkbQMDLwyRfwZCC7Z6Skz_mxT65yQo-2IChA5yfnh87QWS0lNDZ7idW6oCNPWJy_eA4r6As98pWS-UIEFr_h1vB0WjBP7V/s2048/Jun192023_May132023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpWaAGAqbue0jLh_cBXNAWQKVJQYFC7pYKrSj26xsL5DZccD722QaPQmhkPVPnxnsHMNnNQHdrVNc9XP6SRNKYWEFsv4LkbQMDLwyRfwZCC7Z6Skz_mxT65yQo-2IChA5yfnh87QWS0lNDZ7idW6oCNPWJy_eA4r6As98pWS-UIEFr_h1vB0WjBP7V/s320/Jun192023_May132023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><span><a name='more'></a></span>I used both the digi of the kids on the raft and also the one of the map. This month I am show casing Jan's pre-colored images. I have shown <a href="https://www.sunshinecreativity.com/2023/02/lets-go-fly-kite.html">plain coloring</a>, the <a href="https://www.sunshinecreativity.com/2023/04/refreshing-friendship.html">digis paired with digital paper</a>, but still handcolored and also using the <a href="https://www.sunshinecreativity.com/2023/05/truly-one-layer.html">digis in a digital art app</a> to color and design.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF2i1L9YgsNuv0XQ2qyQhyrCL8eqqpO1du5J1jQyLJHW0Z4GIM2_dODDa_LAMyyqXR1ufEQwEFYcOj60yctjQnu6oK5a_L73RN1SKgatF7QQ8NISw_rwENHxH7J0EHx8kdBksEJ5vydYsjw5VPrOP63Y8bo07rCmyeTiMzm_OsjtuT1DgyaQ0yLhBB/s2112/Jun52023_May132023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2112" data-original-width="2112" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF2i1L9YgsNuv0XQ2qyQhyrCL8eqqpO1du5J1jQyLJHW0Z4GIM2_dODDa_LAMyyqXR1ufEQwEFYcOj60yctjQnu6oK5a_L73RN1SKgatF7QQ8NISw_rwENHxH7J0EHx8kdBksEJ5vydYsjw5VPrOP63Y8bo07rCmyeTiMzm_OsjtuT1DgyaQ0yLhBB/s320/Jun52023_May132023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>I am working with the new Rocket Man stamp set (linked below). I imported both the firework image and the little man image into Silhouette Studio. I placed the firework burst on a rectangle sized at 4.25x5.5 inches and placed the little man in front of the burst and sized him accordingly. Once he was correct, I moved him to a different page as I wanted to cut him out as a separate element. I printed both parts out and then cut the focal image out on my Silhouette cameo. I also cut his shape out two more times out of black cardstock. I prefer to use black cardstock for the dimension rather than white as it helps give a nice finished edge.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-3U21tEsrExUMH5SkMj9J2nBhk2I6fbZlXfiIbLNEmDsdEmQY-Z9OnpxkXGav_t9kAQJ1TPGkvJfbchNgYB1UPNQjldxec0aVSy27QY7gLj0VtU1sTAzYdhtull6broKnYl32KCdXRzSJBx0pwGeUh4sNQ-t8IutYIZ8XRh9b_-7S5sRx6SE0GiZs/s2585/PXL_20230512_203140525~3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2585" data-original-width="2585" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-3U21tEsrExUMH5SkMj9J2nBhk2I6fbZlXfiIbLNEmDsdEmQY-Z9OnpxkXGav_t9kAQJ1TPGkvJfbchNgYB1UPNQjldxec0aVSy27QY7gLj0VtU1sTAzYdhtull6broKnYl32KCdXRzSJBx0pwGeUh4sNQ-t8IutYIZ8XRh9b_-7S5sRx6SE0GiZs/s320/PXL_20230512_203140525~3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I ran a black marker along the edge of the printed digi and glued it to the black shape. This is for the challenge blog “<a href="https://kleurenmetpotloden.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-mei-alles-mag.html" target="_blank">Kleuren met Potloden</a>”. I was given the image from All Dressed Up called Crown of Hearts for the challenge. Those of you who follow my blog know that I am learning Procreate. I had drawn this background as part of a Procreate tutorial and thought this would make the perfect background for this little princess.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oMX4GCpzKz7eq1CAkBl6erqGAXazmcWwjKCG1mnv2WTO0CPwA6uS_eMWZsTydU615spF5CzB-D1cC7Rr31l92BI-fjLkO6e9kr1XmFW8tE0AAO7UlXPR-RdkJ4Cl5Si2NgNY7QKWHdiVMRLdkCJJKnq1cMrcAjiK5LVuWwPELCXsJkazPVLdqqeg/s2108/CrownOfHearts_May132023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2108" data-original-width="2108" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oMX4GCpzKz7eq1CAkBl6erqGAXazmcWwjKCG1mnv2WTO0CPwA6uS_eMWZsTydU615spF5CzB-D1cC7Rr31l92BI-fjLkO6e9kr1XmFW8tE0AAO7UlXPR-RdkJ4Cl5Si2NgNY7QKWHdiVMRLdkCJJKnq1cMrcAjiK5LVuWwPELCXsJkazPVLdqqeg/s320/CrownOfHearts_May132023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>I removed the white background from the digi and then imported her into my background. I resized her to fit and then placed her on a layer between the layers of the hills and trees. I added another layer and used this to add a shadow under her feet since the sun is <span style="text-align: center;">shining from behind her. I then exported the completed scene to a .jpg image. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: center;">Once exported I moved the image to my PC and opened it into a 4x5.25 inch rectangle in </span>Silhouette Studio. I used a butterfly from the Butterfly Frame digi set. The sentiment is also from that same set. I have linked it below in the image. I added the butterfly in its own layer and colored it using the butterfly as a reference layer which allowed me to add the color below it. Using clipping mask and alphalock, I then added shading to parts of the butterfly. Once colored, I merged the layers so that the butterfly would be one entity. I then resized it on my cardpanel.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4WJyBovwIrbSfmJHE423OvcmUEQ2nmnzo3HJxSTStOvc_T9nVitUoSMvAMwV1bzgib2nx57CssWqx88zIcz_q9XZ6AoExrQndzuVyyGU8jBv9QPwe8dwcaLPIEQPbK--HlAe70OMGGlNylk2TVPoa9oFBfUKwMEm4DbCcQoYkS3UcqME2I7FUr3pB/s2102/May152023_Apr282023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2102" data-original-width="2102" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4WJyBovwIrbSfmJHE423OvcmUEQ2nmnzo3HJxSTStOvc_T9nVitUoSMvAMwV1bzgib2nx57CssWqx88zIcz_q9XZ6AoExrQndzuVyyGU8jBv9QPwe8dwcaLPIEQPbK--HlAe70OMGGlNylk2TVPoa9oFBfUKwMEm4DbCcQoYkS3UcqME2I7FUr3pB/s320/May152023_Apr282023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I added a layer below the butterfly on which I drew a wider black outline and then reduced the opacity way down to create the shadow under the butterfly. Spellbinders sent me some goodies to create with, however just after they arrived I was not at home very much. So my projects are rather late in the release. But it is a gorgeous release, one die set more versatile than the other.<div><br /></div><div>My first project is using the Essential Stylish Ovals die set as well as the gorgeous embossing folder from this release. I wanted to show off the embossing folder on this card and so let it shine on center stage. I used the largest oval in the set to create my cardbase with, used a smaller one to cut the panel that I then embossed and finally used the smaller one and one size bigger to cut a frame from holographic cardstock. The sentiment is from another set in this release called Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies set.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg6rhWzHJoWBwGG1pg9efoTeZSRjXZl6Qa_p8q6jsSkazf5-7zBBKY7Vz2esD4DN_JWMjNTYOHot3qMWN2ybxThjtTOAdpBBqa-44GGz_qobx7F2oJVSBldn3KgZbtCg86qx0WTwC5y5RMi7_zP83uo-5stoUVpFGjmsqXtCUmQWdUIt0uFawxYAWy/s2019/StylishOvals_May92023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2019" data-original-width="2018" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg6rhWzHJoWBwGG1pg9efoTeZSRjXZl6Qa_p8q6jsSkazf5-7zBBKY7Vz2esD4DN_JWMjNTYOHot3qMWN2ybxThjtTOAdpBBqa-44GGz_qobx7F2oJVSBldn3KgZbtCg86qx0WTwC5y5RMi7_zP83uo-5stoUVpFGjmsqXtCUmQWdUIt0uFawxYAWy/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>For my second card, I used the flowers from the Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies set and cut the stem base from holographic cardstock. I cut the leaves and the flower centers from gold foil cardstock and the flowers themselves from teal cardstock. This really is a pretty floral element. I used two the Essential Stylish Oval dies to create a frame out of black cardstock. I cut it twice and glued the two together for some additional dimension. The sentiment is from a Spellbinders die set that I have in my stash.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTRnc_Di8aQtdizWXtayycKWgeaaKryJadQFngp7sCccovQBJP70JlTpWkNzpnoJgvY2WDr8w2JkXorUZuAk-O9R2hDdjJ6J9Cb8516YiWqOmcY41iaF8428YEJCYZEIurE7GDfvoMpGVr-uOSAtETM2RG0qUM5e7ITPenaBZvpY6GFTDMRHOR-pz8/s2024/StylishOvals_May92023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2024" data-original-width="2024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTRnc_Di8aQtdizWXtayycKWgeaaKryJadQFngp7sCccovQBJP70JlTpWkNzpnoJgvY2WDr8w2JkXorUZuAk-O9R2hDdjJ6J9Cb8516YiWqOmcY41iaF8428YEJCYZEIurE7GDfvoMpGVr-uOSAtETM2RG0qUM5e7ITPenaBZvpY6GFTDMRHOR-pz8/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">My third card again uses the Beautiful Butterflies 3D embossing folder on the card front. I cut two leaf bases from green cardstock using the Stitched Floral Flip Frame die set. I cut each flower out twice so that they would pop up higher than the leaves. I opted not to stitch them and used a black Glaze pen to fill in the centers and give some shiny dimension. I placed the floral frames on the card so that the big butterfly from the embossing folder was in the center of the card. I completed the card with a sentiment from another Spellbinders die set.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMyallhTijoKt0a-9vuY-EYWXNv7V8HoVPbsDUiJQb7_-7-B_fdosuI-hY5zRb9jlVFxKLFMZ3YR0P7uKPW-XWTcOksSLp4vK37vAh0cvnOBf1a0DSYzPUPBTyVtQKdVnk42YOdXwumoy2KhRBlbqJkfvzJPGZ0xmqFgL9kOnHk7AzymEqwxmmZbBp/s1941/StylishOvals_May92023_3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1941" data-original-width="1941" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMyallhTijoKt0a-9vuY-EYWXNv7V8HoVPbsDUiJQb7_-7-B_fdosuI-hY5zRb9jlVFxKLFMZ3YR0P7uKPW-XWTcOksSLp4vK37vAh0cvnOBf1a0DSYzPUPBTyVtQKdVnk42YOdXwumoy2KhRBlbqJkfvzJPGZ0xmqFgL9kOnHk7AzymEqwxmmZbBp/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>My final project is a set of 4 cards using the Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate. I cut the plate out of various colors of cardstock and then pieced them together in a random color palette. This die is brilliant, I had used it previously on my <a href="https://www.sunshinecreativity.com/2023/05/christmas-bingo.html">Christmas BINGO project</a> where I created a monochrome background with it. With one pass through the die cut machine, one has three elements that can be used together or separately.</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIehxMtLJ0XENfNDO91xCU-oqMx88X5ZMBsEPph9OuQm3vN5LuFakpQBjRvvJprpknn7Dnkm92m1o4Ufl0Sgh_0wDSj_I61-AGeRQg7RmDUxxzkqaIjCQoRFW505RgRzlpu74Hk2uT_oMEQvjjHXjBxS45QG6YySgCxFK5AUv0fRqHAHxBbhOeYGhh/s1903/StylishOvals_May92023_4.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1903" data-original-width="1903" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIehxMtLJ0XENfNDO91xCU-oqMx88X5ZMBsEPph9OuQm3vN5LuFakpQBjRvvJprpknn7Dnkm92m1o4Ufl0Sgh_0wDSj_I61-AGeRQg7RmDUxxzkqaIjCQoRFW505RgRzlpu74Hk2uT_oMEQvjjHXjBxS45QG6YySgCxFK5AUv0fRqHAHxBbhOeYGhh/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpTdQw801zT5RnqPM2QMg2JEKVmWKquwJKnxVmtp1Un23F7aET1B9q6Up9_ghD7jJ9BYF_mwtuo8C7M-csnJdnXg-rQ6sbg7M06jEpnSNOIlbpEbQoU2EjYv-sQcFObAhNcJmJXZ9nCZTzE7Sa_AdLB8cFqpzoCyb5g63XwwbILNl_FP6N8m4dwBr/s1980/StylishOvals_May92023_5.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1980" data-original-width="1980" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpTdQw801zT5RnqPM2QMg2JEKVmWKquwJKnxVmtp1Un23F7aET1B9q6Up9_ghD7jJ9BYF_mwtuo8C7M-csnJdnXg-rQ6sbg7M06jEpnSNOIlbpEbQoU2EjYv-sQcFObAhNcJmJXZ9nCZTzE7Sa_AdLB8cFqpzoCyb5g63XwwbILNl_FP6N8m4dwBr/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_5.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoaQXbNRsqArk3-b6HAi_rTJ8GFbHg21KAGtGpZ6EivsL5Znv3fV6BJ2Xvqe6G7Y1_15a1bFALjr9oFjiK_fcnUmJCToN2bgWOdJIDPSf_uiIAp4mU-p4Dn-z6jD883s_XMGhP_etoND5OqocFQO03d8mnAOdXaHvO1s-mSL7ZDoo1id7RGunjVc_z/s1997/StylishOvals_May92023_6.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1997" data-original-width="1996" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoaQXbNRsqArk3-b6HAi_rTJ8GFbHg21KAGtGpZ6EivsL5Znv3fV6BJ2Xvqe6G7Y1_15a1bFALjr9oFjiK_fcnUmJCToN2bgWOdJIDPSf_uiIAp4mU-p4Dn-z6jD883s_XMGhP_etoND5OqocFQO03d8mnAOdXaHvO1s-mSL7ZDoo1id7RGunjVc_z/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_6.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiknbaR8UBeM6TBfdrEW1X6lAQFLRb-X7U-BuNJtntezNfd04dnkO6vTdQQnTH2q5F-ROdkNITBHIxpXeL9GAEhWI7NfGze2pLW0cBmUwtfxqZqJr-NrBDuSjbdhWMiQpeJmTtB-V4eR2LlZUBIcygiS0-Ee7Bc9mPDCfsoZ6EqHkPd7yNmxUrhc128/s2118/StylishOvals_May92023_7.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2118" data-original-width="2117" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiknbaR8UBeM6TBfdrEW1X6lAQFLRb-X7U-BuNJtntezNfd04dnkO6vTdQQnTH2q5F-ROdkNITBHIxpXeL9GAEhWI7NfGze2pLW0cBmUwtfxqZqJr-NrBDuSjbdhWMiQpeJmTtB-V4eR2LlZUBIcygiS0-Ee7Bc9mPDCfsoZ6EqHkPd7yNmxUrhc128/s320/StylishOvals_May92023_7.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>I would encourage you to take a look at the <a href="https://shrsl.com/425kh" target="_blank">Spellbinders Stylish Ovals release</a> <span style="font-size: x-small;">(affiliate link used)</span>. This one is created with paper and die cuts and does not have anything digital on it. I accepted a position on the Design Team at the new <a href="https://christmasbingochallenges.blogspot.com/2023/05/cbc-1-anything-goes-with-featured.html" target="_blank">Christmas BINGO Challenge blog</a>. The challenges run for 6 weeks and you can enter any handmade Christmas themed project that uses the featured BINGO card.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIL_-bHzxL9HNoFOZRdDMpPEUxow_WdPUWCwhesoCQDI0ycrTvLr_ZDrJvrfvPJ3hlC1SgxgulpLc9XwiVBTKYMDBhmhSYNaQOIAkyUZKs8iZTNrn_99_dNxUQ0JKfQjtjwtSmkbZXJvrQIAtZhUk41Vp1K5NtoDAouvI2vhZQsfijRQUOQqOaq0JV/s1980/MonicaC_April192023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1980" data-original-width="1980" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIL_-bHzxL9HNoFOZRdDMpPEUxow_WdPUWCwhesoCQDI0ycrTvLr_ZDrJvrfvPJ3hlC1SgxgulpLc9XwiVBTKYMDBhmhSYNaQOIAkyUZKs8iZTNrn_99_dNxUQ0JKfQjtjwtSmkbZXJvrQIAtZhUk41Vp1K5NtoDAouvI2vhZQsfijRQUOQqOaq0JV/s320/MonicaC_April192023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>I used the "I" column in the current card featuring the elements of Monochrome, Gemstone, Gold and Vellum. I used green as my monochrome color and created the background with the new Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate. This is such a beautiful background plate, creating patterns with complete punch outs and together with piercings. I added a third shade of green on the detail of the Christmas Tree, which I backed with vellum. The star on the top of the tree as well as the sentiment were cut out of gold, glitter cardstock. I met the gemstone requirement by adding little golden gems to the tree as the ornaments.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHbUEpEc1zXKrx1lPdp4axhzy4EihJXUS86zWPUs3EZ7h3LuqQoHgW6Selm5jjwkBCCUUcmpdSexPFMiyA6ZL8KXKwIezo9tagSTrnZ-svy1HKMDnyYAUy2Fqep0gK-EB0ynmI8VJoNHzucjaL7-VSn6ko-jlWNiv3TSSu32PD7F4CdL2UPMGuFP1K/s1980/MonicaC_April192023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1980" data-original-width="1980" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHbUEpEc1zXKrx1lPdp4axhzy4EihJXUS86zWPUs3EZ7h3LuqQoHgW6Selm5jjwkBCCUUcmpdSexPFMiyA6ZL8KXKwIezo9tagSTrnZ-svy1HKMDnyYAUy2Fqep0gK-EB0ynmI8VJoNHzucjaL7-VSn6ko-jlWNiv3TSSu32PD7F4CdL2UPMGuFP1K/s320/MonicaC_April192023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>As stated, the challenge is all about Christmas. I am using both the image and a sentiment from the new Patriotic Poppies stamp set (linked below).</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg3zWw85Is2aeDwhbBEUQ6v7J-WWHslJTDbFiMuInZDHOPIlmoRbKOoB8tHuA9NAADzUSYjYhAIEd5MOae2mYjG5Ia14BZ2XulDrRDGdKUNuwk_R-X9XKxHj0YZBlyV_TbVfuMQijkwbvVCwSTx4R6NqLK--Jpe1G-ZlXsQk8eBg8_3tWhQOv1OuHj/s2080/May12023_Apr282023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2080" data-original-width="2080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg3zWw85Is2aeDwhbBEUQ6v7J-WWHslJTDbFiMuInZDHOPIlmoRbKOoB8tHuA9NAADzUSYjYhAIEd5MOae2mYjG5Ia14BZ2XulDrRDGdKUNuwk_R-X9XKxHj0YZBlyV_TbVfuMQijkwbvVCwSTx4R6NqLK--Jpe1G-ZlXsQk8eBg8_3tWhQOv1OuHj/s320/May12023_Apr282023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>Today I am sharing a card I created digitally in Procreate. Hubby had gifted me an iPad so that I could learn digital drawing and this is my first attempt at creating a whole card in the app. I created the arrangement by coloring the stamp in Procreate after importing the .png version of the digital stamp and applying the Reference function to the layer with the digi on it. This allowed me to color the flower on a lower layer and apply the relevant shadows and highlights. Once completed, I duplicated the flower bunch and flipped the duplicate horizontally. I also copied the smaller flower and pasted it behind my created bouquet to give it some height.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcx-09-Ma6UOu3028Fbi4p9FRodwoAHI270XusFFBM9a0mhyBAyGOXI7DH218SgFwKJBvQrBeNjykVrEIvJZfmVsFtbHuMhTpHi1erpKsoP_H5ROjij7aFyl2bHczR61YECXvJqvT72AuD9l0_AXm3ef7EmATMJJF5_teW0Q8BM0ShlpUozDkPKbzM/s2080/May12023_Apr282023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2080" data-original-width="2080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcx-09-Ma6UOu3028Fbi4p9FRodwoAHI270XusFFBM9a0mhyBAyGOXI7DH218SgFwKJBvQrBeNjykVrEIvJZfmVsFtbHuMhTpHi1erpKsoP_H5ROjij7aFyl2bHczR61YECXvJqvT72AuD9l0_AXm3ef7EmATMJJF5_teW0Q8BM0ShlpUozDkPKbzM/s320/May12023_Apr282023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>I completed the card by designing the oval element behind the flowers and then, in turn, the pattern in the background. This was accomplished by using the Corrugated Iron brush that comes with Procreate. Once I was happy with the design, I printed it out onto heavy weight cardstock. I scored it in the middle and folded it into a one layer A2 notecard.<br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.janmahew.com/product-page/patriotic-poppies" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="500" height="320" src="https://static.wixstatic.com/media/40213f_9a8da59aebf742c4bd1a30f113e6cf40~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_500,h_500,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/40213f_9a8da59aebf742c4bd1a30f113e6cf40~mv2.png" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div>We would love to see your creation in our challenge over at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamp Shop Challenge blog</a>. It is time for the reminder post over at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge blog</a>. My card this fortnight is another one that I created with a hand colored focal point and a digital paper background.<div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5Y4_szGRoeWaZRhcgheiSFh0XBSQjt-gYcfYXt3C5NmyjbFnWsVepXAoe-U046Y08Csu0a8Er8A6HSc7PjAR7WlIa2ENPn_DB0hOBqrp5501M6TavcXvfTLuHkkfqDrfcpXuJp8QhIB4IWccMB3_EJ2CSe_SQ6JenRK9Q0RyxpaqYz72kO__yCcD6/s2254/Apr172023_Apr112023_2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2254" data-original-width="2254" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5Y4_szGRoeWaZRhcgheiSFh0XBSQjt-gYcfYXt3C5NmyjbFnWsVepXAoe-U046Y08Csu0a8Er8A6HSc7PjAR7WlIa2ENPn_DB0hOBqrp5501M6TavcXvfTLuHkkfqDrfcpXuJp8QhIB4IWccMB3_EJ2CSe_SQ6JenRK9Q0RyxpaqYz72kO__yCcD6/s320/Apr172023_Apr112023_2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span><a name='more'></a></span>The background paper is some faux glitter paper that I have had in my digital stash for a long time. Using Silhouette Studio, I created a rectangle sized at 4x5.25 inches and filled it with the digital paper. I placed the<span style="text-align: center;"> flower </span>digi on the background, sizing it accordingly. I then created an offset around the digi so that I could "pop" it off of the busy background. I filled the offset with one of the colors from the background which I chose with the color picker. I added the sentiment, which comes from the same digi set, and resized it to fit.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I then printed the composition out onto Canson C' a grain paper and colored the flowers with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I cut the panel out and added it to a white A2 sized cardbase. I fussy cut the sentiment and ran a marker along the edge to give it some definition.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdzLUaPRPkVj3k2smC9vimayYPS0KbBrepNcp6b0P7oHWPPrchzl6-cS8sP6e0oXAv7rgEbw-tNNBakVVBE3JV0ehAmi1l9Zt8Z0s2s5vGKA8DOgm67o4uDJ-WKa1Oy5zhwVKaLLKXF3JQQueEM_H_uI2jmspN8mjK1IUkx4BG0ihqrm21iqGXbLO_/s2224/Apr172023_Apr112023_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2224" data-original-width="2224" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdzLUaPRPkVj3k2smC9vimayYPS0KbBrepNcp6b0P7oHWPPrchzl6-cS8sP6e0oXAv7rgEbw-tNNBakVVBE3JV0ehAmi1l9Zt8Z0s2s5vGKA8DOgm67o4uDJ-WKa1Oy5zhwVKaLLKXF3JQQueEM_H_uI2jmspN8mjK1IUkx4BG0ihqrm21iqGXbLO_/s320/Apr172023_Apr112023_1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I would like to invite you to join us over at <a href="https://jansdigistampschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge blog</a>.
