The window sill

Here I am today with another birthday card, this time using Power Poppy's Go Wild stampset. I stamped the image onto Master's Touch watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

Thank you with Roses

I have had a rose layering stampset in my crafty stash for a while and had not ever really had time to try it out. So last week I took some time to just stamp out the flowers and the leaves. I stamped out two pages of flowers and leaves and cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

I needed six Thank You cards and decided that the roses that I had stamped and cut out would make the perfect cards for my needs. I also wanted to try the technique of embossing with dies and so I created these white on white embossed cards, placed the roses and added a die-cut sentiment to each one cut out of black glitter cardstock.

One sheet wonder

Today I am sharing a project that incorporates two new things for me. Part of my Christmas present last year was a subscription to the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month club. I got my first package in December and these cards use die cuts done from that kit.

The second element here is me trying a one sheet wonder. The plaid patterned paper you see on all the cards is cut from one sheet of 12x12 paper and then used across all 12 cards. How fun this was! I used the template kindly provided by Jessica at Ink it up with Jessica for the cuts on my patterned paper.

The Butterfly Challenge

I recently ran across the Butterfly Challenge blog and the challenge hosted there was a lot of fun. The challenge requires the use of a butterfly somewhere in the project and then this fortnight the letter is Y and one can use a theme or a color or both or incorporate all seven elements into the project. Here is the current wheel:

I opted to incorporate all seven elements into my encouragement card. I started out with a blue cardcase and embossed the front with a Darice flower embossing folder. This took care of the "Your Choice" as I love how dry embossing just adds another dimension to the project. I added some flatback jewels into the centers of some of the flowers.

First project for World Wide Open Design Team

I am so excited to finally be able to share with you that I was chosen to be a member of the Design Team at World Wide Open Design Team challenge blog. You have to be a member of at least one design team to be able to enter their challenges and so the projects entered are amazing.

Another exciting aspect here is that Julia Spiri is the artist that sponsors the challenges and her digis are lovely - a whimsy sort of fantasy. There are various prize categories and certificates awarded so if you are on any design team, be sure to check the challenges out.

So here is my first project.

A little time

Hubby and I had taken a little time off between Christmas and New Year and so of course my pencils went with. Our visit to southern Arizona proved to be a chilly escapade, so we stayed indoors quite a bit - me coloring and him reading. It was wonderful. This card is the last one I made on my return with the images I had colored while away.

This is also a Conie Fong image. I decided to go rather pastel on it, thus the light colors on her dress, the white bear and her light colored wings.

My first round card

Today I have a card with a difference to show you. The card is round and features Conie Fong's Candy Cane Penguin as the focal image. Isn't he adorable?

I printed the image out onto Strathmore Colored Pencil paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. What fun this cutey was to color!!

The best sentiment...

I have had this All Dressed Up digital stamp called Pitter Patter Raindrops on my computer for quite a while. I think it is the sweetest image. I printed it out on blue Canson Mi Tientes paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

The importance of being creative

I believe in the importance of doing something creative. Whatever form creativity takes on for you, be sure to take time to do it in 2019. It is an activity that keeps us balanced.

Today I want to share a House Mouse card with you. I have not colored up one of these sweet images for a very long time. I picked up this stamp in a destash sale some time ago and stamped it onto Canson Bristol Vellum paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This was my first try at coloring on new-to-me Bristol Vellum. I was very happy with the results, however I can only use it for physical stamps as my printer won't have anything to do with it.

Another Lacy Sunshine project

It is time for another "Anything Goes" challenge over at Crafting with an Attitude. The sponsor this month is Lacy Sunshine and the winner will receive 3 single digis of their choice.

I chose to work with Summer Daisies Flower Pot Pretties for my design team project. I thought her little boot made the cutest treehouse.

A pocket full of Posies

It is the first of the month and this time also the first of the year. I wish you all a happy and successful New Year and especially a healthy one.

It is also time for a new challenge over at the Crafts Galore Encore challenge blog and this month our sponsor is Sparkle N Sprinkle and the winner will get a $15 store voucher.

I am using the digital stamp called Pocket full of Posies. I printed the image on Stathmore Colored Pencil paper (400 series) and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils.
