Another Lacy Sunshine project

It is time for another "Anything Goes" challenge over at Crafting with an Attitude. The sponsor this month is Lacy Sunshine and the winner will receive 3 single digis of their choice.

I chose to work with Summer Daisies Flower Pot Pretties for my design team project. I thought her little boot made the cutest treehouse.

I printed the image onto Strathmore Paint Pad paper and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once she was colored, I fussy cut her out and ran along the edges with a black marker. I created a card panel from a piece of 3.75x5 inch kraft cardstock and embossed it with a Darice woodgrain embossing folder. I rubbed Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink over the embossed panel for dark the raised areas and accentuate the wood look.

I threaded some twine through the back edge of the boot and fastened the other end of the twine around a brad to make it look like her "treehouse" was hanging on a nail on the tree.

My Christmas gift this last year was a subscription to the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit and this lovely sentiment die and scalloped matte was in the kit. I cut the sentiment from aqua cardstock and the scalloped matte from vellum and adhere them to my card. I cut the flower and leaves from dies also in the kit. I completed the image with some white gel pen details on both the colored image and the die cuts.

I then adhered the card panel to a colored cardbase with a coordinating envelope.
