The window sill

Here I am today with another birthday card, this time using Power Poppy's Go Wild stampset. I stamped the image onto Master's Touch watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

I allowed the tooth of the watercolor paper to show through on the coloring of the water in the jars so that it would give a textured, almost earthy look. Once I had colored the image, I cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo using the Pixscan mat. I was really impressed with how well it cut those dainty leaves.

I adhered the image onto a white cardstock stitched hexagon that I had cut off at the bottom. This I, in turn, adhered to a piece of lime green cardstock onto which I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink. I used stamps from the Spellbinders sentiment set STP-002.

Finally I adhered the card front to a PaperStudio card base that I had embossed the front of with a Darice embossing folder.

White and lime green cardstock
