It is the 1st of February and time for a new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog. As always, the theme is Anything Goes and this month the sponsor is Morgan's Artworld. The winner will receive the 3 images used by the design team.
I got to work with Fae 3 and opted to create a page in my art journal with her. I printed her out and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I then fussy cut her out.
I created the golden background by covering the page with Colorbox Gold ink with the direct to paper method. Once the ink had dried some, but not completely, I stamped the page with a background stamp from my stash and Versamark ink and covered the stamping with gold embossing powder. It stuck mostly to the inked areas which provided some texture, but did also stick to other areas that were not 100% dry - a sort of random look I was going for in this project.
I completed the page by adding a gold foil border and splattered white acrylic paint on it. I adhered my focal image and the die cut letters that spelled out GOLDEN and then hand wrote Silence is. I added a black frame around the image and along the edge of the foiling.
Pop over to Crafts Galore Encore and enter your project.
