Fancy Flowers

I was recently given this digi by my friend Tracey of Tracey Gurley Designs. She has a great array of handpainted clipart and digital papers in her shop, but this image I got as lineart so I could color it with my trusty pencils.

I created a cardpanel in Silhouette Studio as I wanted to have the word BIRTHDAY cut into the panel so that the cardbase would peek out from behind. Once I was happy with the panel, I added the image in Silhouette Studio and then using the print and cut option, printed the image and then cut out the cardpanel. I used Daler-Rowney Drawing paper.

I colored the flowers and leaves with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The image was alot of fun to color and works well for any occasion.

I adhered the panel to my cardbase and then stamped the word Happy above the Birthday in Versafine Onyx black ink. I did not add any further embellishments as this card is going to a man.

Take a moment to visit Tracey's shop. Lots of eye candy there.
