My first round card

Today I have a card with a difference to show you. The card is round and features Conie Fong's Candy Cane Penguin as the focal image. Isn't he adorable?

I printed the image out onto Strathmore Colored Pencil paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. What fun this cutey was to color!!

I then cut him out with a stitched circle die. I cut a circle slightly larger from silver glitter washi tape from DCWV and with my largest circle die, I cut a dark green circle and two white heavy cardstock circles - which would make the card base. I adhered the layers on top of each other and added the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I scored a "hinge" at the top of the second white circle so that the card would open easily.

I love how this card looks like an ornament.

General supplies:
Strathmore Colored Pencil Paper
Reflections 110lb heavyweight cardstock
Green cardstock
DCWV silver glitter washi tape
Conie Fong Candy Cane Penguin digi
Prismacolor pencils
Circle dies from my stash
Sentiment stamp from my stash
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Entered into the Through the Craft Room Door Anything Goes Challenge for the week 8th Jan
