The letter A

It is Friday again and so time for a blog post from me. Today I am going to show you the first card in a series. I am making a card to a characteristic for each letter of the alphabet and using the Spellbinders Stitched Alphabet dies.

Today I have the letter A. I cut the letter out twice out of heavyweight cardstock and glued them together before doing the stitching. I also determined to try different embroidery stitches, a skill I have not practiced in years. For this one I did a wagon wheel stitch, a straight stitch and a half chain stitch.

Once the stitching was done, I looked in my pink scrap envelope for a cardstock that would match the main color of the thread. I printed the sentiment on my printer. The cardpanel is dry embossed and I added a white center with a shaped die. I completed the card with some die cut flowers.

Watch this space for the letter B.

  5. What a cute card! Sound like fun to make a card for each letter. I am just about done with homeschooling. A few more days and I'm free! I hope you have been well.
