Monochrome with a pop of color

Hello Blogland. Today I am here with my project for the challenge between BożenA and myself. She has had such patience with me during my time of loss of mojo, move and whatever else. But here we are.

It was BożenA's choice for the challenge theme and she chose monochrome with one color. I decided that I wanted to do something a little different to using my pencils for this. I had recently purchased this city die set and so used it for this project. I created all the cityscape in cardstock ranging in tones from black to white. I decided that this was a piece for my art journal rather than a card.

I used orange as my pop of color and added it with the flower and the words Stand Up, also cut from various dies in my stash. I printed the remainder of the sentiment with my computer. I completed my page with some doodling around the printed sentiment and some white gel pen accents on the flower and the die cut letters.
