Holiday Express

I am thrilled to be back again with some more guest designing for Spellbinders with the new Tinsel Time collection and today I have the cutest little train card to show you. Steam engines have such an old world charm and I was so pleased when I received this one to make some projects with.

I went with traditional Christmas colors on this one and cut the train out of red, green and gold cardstock. I used black for the wheels. The Holiday Express die set comes with dies for the engine and a car and the gifts in the car.

I made a mini-slimline card and used patterned paper from my stash for the background. I added the train to the card, positioned toward the right of the card as I wanted to use the Tinsel Time Sentiments die set to create the sentiment in the smoke. This die set has the words and their shadows included and so I used shadows from smaller words for the first two puffs of smoke.

I will be posting a new post every day this week. Stay tuned for another idea for the train which I will post tomorrow.
