For the first card, I made the deer in shades of purple. I positioned the antlers out to give the impression of a spread rather than upright rack and added some little yellow flowers, an accent piece that comes in the die set. I added Wink of Stella to the saddle and blaze.
I added the deer to a white cardpanel that had been embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and completed the card with the sentiment die cut from the Holiday Cheer Enclosed collection.
My second card consists of shades of pink. The deer is a light and medium pink shade and the background a dark pink. The antlers are cut from a silver glitter washi sheet and backed onto white cardstock. The nose and the hooves are also cut from the washi sheet. This time I positioned the antlers more upright. One could also make a doe and leave the antlers off.
The dark pink cardpanel is also embossed with the same snowflake embossing folder. I added the deer to the bottom and added the sentiment using the Classic Happy Holidays and the Not a Puppy sentiment die sets.
I think this deer can be used for other magical occasions too and not just for the holidays. Different colors and sentiments will change the look dramatically.
