My fleet

I don't usually post every day, but I have these cards that I really want to show you! I was recently able to get my hands on the Spellbinders October 2018 Large die of the month kit which features this gorgeous truck! There are a lot of dies in the kit as one can paper piece here, for each part of the truck.

Well I went to town and created a whole fleet. The first one is a Christmas card. I added plaid patterned paper to a green cardbase and cut the truck out of red cardstock. I cut the tree and some extra foliage and laid it in the bed of my truck before adhering it to the card. I added double sided tape to each side of the card and added gold foil. Finally I stamped the sentiment using a stamp from my stash, Versamark ink and Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder.

My second card is a sweet, girly type birthday card! The truck is cut out of purple cardstock and it has two big gifts in the back of it that are cut from tiny pieces of the watercolor panel that I had left over from all the cards I had created and already shared here. The background is a piece of striped vellum that was cut to size. I created a light purple frame to edge the vellum with and give the truck a grounding. The sentiment was added with a stamp from my stash, Versamark ink and white embossing powder.

And the last card for today is another girly truck, this time in pink. I adhered it to some vintage looking paper on a light pink cardbase. This truck is carrying a beach ball and a surfboard, all in shades of pink. I completed the card with a sentiment using a stamp from my stash, Versamark ink and white embossing powder. As with the other cards, I added some highlights to the tires with a white gel pen.

As you can see, these dies are so much fun. There are also sentiments that fit onto the tailgate which I will have to play with next time. All the little parts can be cut out separately, so I could use silver cardstock for the bumper and mirrors and I used red glitter cardstock for the taillights. I added a piece of vellum in the window area so it does not look like there is no glass in the window.

Cardstocks and patterned papers from my stash
Paperstudio cardbases and coordinating envelopes
