Elegant in purple

I have two projects to show you today. This first one is for the mid sponsor for the Rabisco Challenge. Our sponsor is LeAnn's World 101 and I got to work with Abigail.

I printed her out onto Canson C' a Grain drawing paper and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I drew my color inspiration from the colors used on the plaid paper that I wanted to use as my background here. Once she was colored, I cut her out with a Hero Arts oval die. I cut another oval one size bigger out of purple cardstock. I created a 5.5x5.5 inch cardbase and added a 5.5x5.5 inch purple panel to it. I then added a 5.25x5.25 inch piece of the plaid paper to my card before adhering the focal element.

I cut two strips of cardstock, one measuring 1.25x5.5inches out of blue and one measuring 1x5.5 inches out of purple. I ran the purple piece through a Spellbinders embossing folder and adhered them to the left side of my card. I also added a piece of trim from my stash and 3 flatback jewels from my stash too.

I completed the card with a sentiment from a Kaisercraft stampset stamped in Versamark ink on black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. I cut the banner with a die from my stash and popped it onto the card with foam tape.
