Shopping Spree

Time for another challenge at the Rabisco Challenge blog and I am working with this image from Cute as a Button called Christmas Shopping. Well I decided that one can shop at any time and so she is just shopping in my project.

I recently discovered a new digital artist called The Artsy Stamp Shop and used a digital paper from the Marble Magic set. I created a rectangle in MS Word this time and filled it with the digital paper. I added the digital stamp and then created an oval behind her that fitted her. I filled the center with one of the light colors from the background paper, set a fat line thickness and set it to one of the lighter pinks in the background paper. I then printed it out onto Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper and colored the image with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Her clothes colors are also matched to the colors in the background paper.

Once I had colored her, I trimmed the paper down to 4x5.25 inches and glued it to the front of a light green cardbase. I cut the word Hello twice from some green cardstock, adhered them together and added them to the front of the card. I love doubling or tripling the die cuts. It gives them good dimension without being to bulky to mail.
