Forever and always

Today I am here with three cards to show you. Seems like the 1st and the 15th of the month are multiple post days. This project is for the Rabisco Challenge blog and the sponsor for the middle of the month is MMedel Illustrations. I got to work with this cute image called Married Couple Kissing.

I designed the layout of this card in Silhouette Studio. I created a rectangle sized at 4x5.25 inches and filled it with a diagonal, yellow gingham digital paper from Itty Bitty Pixel. I positioned the couple onto the card where I wanted them to stand and then added the circle behind them that I colored with the lighter color in the gingham which I got from the digital paper in the rectangle with the eyedropper tool. I added an offset to that circle and colored it the darkest color of the gingham, but reduced the opacity so that the gingham could be seen through it ever so slightly. I printed the image out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and colored the couple with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once colored, I returned to Silhouette Studio and cut the rectangle out. I prefer to cut the design out on the Silhouette since I designed the layout there and I know my cut will then be accurate.

I stamped the sentiment with a wood mount stamp from my stash and Versafine Onyx Black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I cut a piece of orange craft foam just a tad smaller than the card panel and glued the cardpanel to it and then in turn, glued the craft foam to a yellow cardbase.

To complete the scene and meet the Rabisco Challenge requirement of including some haberdashery on the project, I added a little bow tied out of orange organza ribbon.

You can read about the challenge on the Rabisco Challenge blog, but entry is in the Facebook group, so you don't need a blog to enter.
