Eyes

This is my second project for today and my DT Inspiration for the Outlawz Crash your Stash challenge for May. The object of the challenge is for you to use an item on your project that you have in your stash and have not used for a long time and this month the item is Goolie Eyes. And here is my project! I have used a Dr Digi House of Stamps stamp called Valentine Derek (which also happens to be the image for this month's Outlawz Progressive Challenge). But Derek needed Googlie Eyes, in my opinion.

I created the scene in my Silhouette Studio using a Freebie digital paper the A Bit More Time for Craft challenge blog gave away last month. The sentiment is from a set of digital sentiments by We are 3 Digital Shop, who is also the sponsor for the challenge. I placed the background paper and the sentiment onto a 4x5.5 inch rectangle and printed it out onto white cardstock and cut the panel out. I had created a cutline for Derek and after sizing him appropriately for my card, I printed him out on Canson Mi Tientes Pastel paper and colored him with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I then returned him to the Silhouette to cut him out. I cut a second shape out of white cardstock and glued the colored version onto the blank version for some additional stability. I ran my tombow marker along the edge to give the image a complete look.

Once Derek was in place on the card, I glued his eyes in place with Glossy Accents. I made him a nose out of craft foam so that I could place it in front of his new eyes. I shaded the craft foam with my Arteza real brush pens. I then adhered the cardpanel to a dark blue cardbase.

I look so forward to seeing what you make with those Googlie Eyes that I am sure you have in your stash somewhere. Join us at the Outlawz May Crash your Stash challenge with your project.
