I decided to go with a CAS card here with plenty of white space, as I wanted the digi to take center stage. I printed one of the sentiments that came with the image directly onto my cardbase. I printed the digi onto Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper, colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils and cut her out on my Silhouette Cameo. I ran a black marker along the edge of the digi and then glued her to my cardbase.
Since I like to color on the Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper so that I have enough tooth for the pencil layers to blend well, this always results in at least the image being glued to the cardbase and it not being truly one layer. But it is close enough, in my opinion.

Cute stamp Monica, love the colours of the pencils used here too. xx
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card. So happy, caring and welcoming. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours and colouring on this cute image Monica, a lovely sentiment also.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the paper, I hope it will be good for "light" water colouring as it says on the web! Most water colouring paper is too think to go through my printer.
Oh that's just wonderfully colored, Monica, and your design is perfect! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love how this image is colored. So beautiful! I have to learn how to cut out with my Cameo. It would be so useful. I need to get busy and try it.
ReplyDeleteFabulous colors, Monica! When there are such colors around, even rain can be wonderful. Coloring as always amazing
