More fairy gardens

Today I am back again with some fairy gardens. I had another play with my Whimsy Stamps Build a Fairy Garden die set and created these two cards.

The first one is a A2 sized notecard. I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide inks and then used the stardust die in the set to cut the two "sparkle trails" out of it before adding the panel to a white cardbase. The sentiment is from a Spellbinders sentiment die set and cut out of white cardstock.

I cut all three mushrooms from the set in patterned paper and then cut the caps from cardstock. The fairy silhouette is cut from black cardstock and I placed her on the middle sized mushroom.

My second card for today is in shades of blue and yellow. I used some plaid patterned paper for the background and then created the scene of the mushrooms, the bees and the sentiment with dies. I love the die set of these little bees from Honey Bee Stamps, they are layered.

Die cutting is my second favorite card making technique after coloring, so I do love to create die only cards too.

  2. Monica, you made two fairy tale cards. The first one, both thematically and in terms of color, is very fairy-tale. I love these fun mushrooms and sweet fairy. The second card so fun with these bees. I also really like creating cards with die cuts. This is a very effective technique.
