Thank you cards are the ones I need about as much of as general encouragement cards. So to replenish my stash and to play a bit more with my Craft-a-Flower lily dies, I created some Thank you cards. Each one has one lily and a leaf from the die set on it and the word "thanks", but each one sports a different color combo for the lily and a different background.
The first one is a purple lily. I am not sure if you get such flowers in real life - but this is art. The background panel is embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder. I adhered it to a white cardbase and then added the lily and the sentiment, which was cut out of black cardstock.
The second one is a yellow lily and the background is a Kaisercraft plaid stamp that I inked up with a silver metallic ink that I had in my stash. I adhered the cardpanel to a white cardbase and then glued on the flower and the sentiment.
The third one is a red lily with a gold center. I love making red flowers with gold on them. The background is partially stenciled with a splatter stencil and London Fog ink and then I added a wider strip of double sided tape to the top and a narrow strip down the diagonal before foiling the tape with gold foil.
My final card is a blue lily and the background is inked with a cube builder stencil and Desert Sand and Cantaloupe inks. I adhered the panel to a white cardbase and then glued the flower and the sentiment to it.
I love the Altenew Craft-a-Flower dies. Watch this space for some different flowers also, as I have subscribed!

These cards are gorgeous. I love the variety. I don't go through thank you cards any where near as fast as birthday cards.
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd write back about the Glimmer System. I really like it, but the plates are VERY expensive, in my opinion. I didn't look into the price of the plates prior to buying the system. You have to buy plates for everything you do. It has been costing me a small fortune. Before you decide look at the plates and see what you would like to have and price them. Many of the plates come with dies and that's nice. You'll be surprised how much it adds up to. They do run sales frequently.
Beautiful cards Monica and I love all those different backgrounds. I also love that in card making we can make our flowers any colour we want xx hugs
