Watercolor flower

Happy Friday everyone! Today I am back with another no-coloring card. This beautiful rose die is the second half of the prize I won over at the Butterfly Challenge and I thought my watercolor panel was just the right thing to try it out on.

I cut the rose and the sentiment out of part of the pink watercolor panel I had created and had made previous cards with. I also ran a Paper Studio cardbase through my embossing machine with a Darice embossing folder. The interesting thing was that the white core of the paper showed on the ridges of the embossing. At first I was not sure about it, but when I laid the rose on it, I really liked the distressed look on the card base.

This rose die cuts and embosses this beautiful design and I can see myself using it a lot more.

General supplies:
Canson XL Watercolor paper
Paper Studio Cardbase and coordinating envelope
Crayola watercolors
Sentiment die from stash
Sweet Dixie Rose die
Darice Basket Weave Background embossing folder

  5. WOW, Monica !! I love this card! The background is simply stunning. I love paper stained on the surface and not in the paper mass, because after the embossing in the folder, such beautiful effects are created, as if the surface was filed with a file to reveal the white base. In combination with pink watercolor rose looks amazing. A great card. Hugs,
