Guest design project

I was recently invited to guest design for the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog, following my win there. 

The sponsor for this challenge that I was asked to design for is Doctor Digi House of Stamps. I received this sharp image called Mr Slaters Parrot.

I printed the image out onto Canson C’ a Grain paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I decided that Mr Slater and his parrot had to be wearing matching outfits. Once I had colored the image, I cut it out with a shaped die from my stash. Using a matching yellow cardstock, I rolled it through my die cutting machine with a Spellbinders embossing folder to create a card panel.

I added a "friend" die cut sentiment in white and black and added the ward "DEAR" that I created with my Dymo label maker.
