For this card I combined a stenciled butterfly from the Sneak Peek kit and some stamped butterflies from a Spellbinders stamp and die set. I stamped the butterflies in Memento Tuxedo black ink and then colored them with my Copic markers. When they were dry, I stamped over them with Versafine Onyx black ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
The bottom butterfly is stenciled with Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Milled Lavender. The second layer is a heavier application of the same ink. I then cut it out and added a folded flower stamen for the antennae. I added the butterflies to a white cardpanel that I embossed with a delicate Darice embossing folder and added it to a dark teal cardbase.
The card was completed with a preprinted sentiment popped up on foam tape.
I was challenged to participate in a 10 day maker challenge on Instagram. So this is my first make. I will not be posting them all on my blog, but they will be in the weekly newsletter, so be sure to subscribe by email.
