I stamped the two flowers and two butterflies onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers. I added some additional shadowing to the pink floral arrangement with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Pencils work really well on top of alcohol markers to add some extra depth or texture.
Once the images were colored, I cut them out with coordinating dies.
I dry embossed the cardpanel with a Spellbinders embossing folder and I stamped one of the sentiments with Versamark ink onto a vellum strip and then heat embossed it with detail white embossing powder. I added the flower arrangement and then placed the vellum strip over the bottom flower. I added the cardpanel to a white cardbase and then added the butterfly overlapping the vellum to help with adhesion.
I am looking forward to making more of these butterflies and also trying the stamping to color them.
