For this first card, I tried something rather crazy. I cut the detail die out of foiled cardstock and again out of fun foam. I also ran the die through my machine with a piece of acetate. It did not cut out the detail, but it did press the shape into the acetate and I was then able to fussy cut the outer edge.
I glued the fun foam cutout and the cardstock cutout on each side of the acetate so that the petals made wells. Laying the die cut face down, I filled the petals with purple glitter and the flower centers with gold microbeads. I then placed a lighter purple cardstock shadow cutout on the back to seal in the glitter and microbeads.
I cannot really call this a shaker card as the elements don't move in the wells, I made them full. But one can see that there is a dimensional element behind the acetate.
I completed the card by cutting a panel out of dark purple cardstock and cutting the anemone shadow shape out the center. I then embossed the panel before adhering it to a 5x7 inch cardbase. I inlayed the floral composition into the space in the cardpanel and completed the card with a sentiment from the coordinating script die set and a stamped word "friend".
My second card is a lot simpler. I used the dark purple shadow piece that I cut out of the center of the cardpanel on my previous card and overlayed it with a white detail die cut. I added the floral spray onto a white cardpanel that was cut to 4x5.25 inches and embossed with a paint splatter embossing folder. I added a "hello" sentiment cut from a gold glitter washi sheet.
My final card is the simplest of them all. I created a white cardpanel that I embossed with a butterfly embossing folder from my stash. I added the words "hello beautiful" from the Wonderful Script die set. I love delicate word dies with shadows.
I have some more ideas whirling in my head for these die sets, so I am looking forward to another time when I can create with them.
