Yorkshire Terrier

I was not able to post last week. I am still struggling with creativity, so using die cuts or my Silhouette with an SVG file is just perfect for still creating without the need to have much mojo. I recently discovered Craft with Sarah and her SVG files and so today I am showing you a card I made with her Yorkshire Terrier.

The dog actually comes with a whole body, but I decided to have him peeking in from the side of my card and so cut the file at that level in Silhouette Studio after resizing him for a 5x7 card. I cut all the layers from the different cardstock colors and assembled him, using all glue and no foam tape so as not to add further dimension on my card.

I cut two panels in two shades of blue and ran the lighter one through a heart embossing folder, which is unfortunately not very visible in the photo. I embossed a line at the bottom of the card with my scoreboard for him to stand on. I completed the card by adding a blue ribbon to his neck.

Sarah has a number of dog breeds on her Craft with Sarah website and I would love to try a few more.

  4. A very cute doggie and beautifully-made card! Love the layers and colors. Maybe your muse is wanting to do something else, perhaps only for yourself. We card makers don't get to do enough of that, IMO. Hey, I've been doing a 3-months and counting Facebook Cancel lol. I do go on there but only for a few minutes and I don't interact. So I saw you had an anniversary -- Happy Happy to you both!!! XOX

  7. Oh my gosh...I love this little guy! What a cute card. I am going to visit her site. I keep on planning to learn to use my Silhouette. Maybe I can fit some time in some where. Homeschool keeps me pretty busy.
