November Progressive Challenge

I hope all of you that celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful day yesterday. Today I am sharing my project for this month's Imagine That Digistamp progressive challenge. The image is called Truckin Santa Paws and I opted to use the precolored digi this month.

Using Silhouette Studio, I resized the digi to fit onto a landscape notecard and then also created a 5.25x4 inch cardpanel with one of the sentiments that came in the digi set added to the top. I then put the digi seperately on the page as I wanted to be able to cut it out. I also created an offset with the digi's cutline which I cut two out of from black cardstock to give the digi some dimension.

I completed my card by adding the digi to the cardpanel below the sentiment and then added the cardpanel to a purple cardbase.

As a last note on this post, I want to thank you all for continuing to visit my blog and leave your comments. We buried my father-in-law this month and on that same day got a call to hospital for a good and long-time friend who passed away a few hours later. My husband was asked to do the funeral service for our friend and so we had to extend our stay in Indiana. Being part of two funerals in 5 days is definitely an event in life that seems to place everything else in the background.

I will be returning to blogland and enjoying your creativity again as soon as I can.

  1. I'm so sorry for the heartache you're enduring, I lost 2 aunts last year and buried my furbaby, which still hurts. I also lost my long time friend from Jr. High and HS 5 yrs ago in a car accident. It's ok to take time to grieve as it does tend to change our perspective on life. As for your card, I really love the black outline, it makes the image pop 🥰 I hope you embrace the lil joys of the Christmas season, family and friends and cherishedemories ❤

  5. Very cute card with Kris' images. Kudos to you, Monica, for continuing to create in the midst of the sorrow. Hoping it's been a respite for you. Please convey my condolences for you and your family to your husband for me. I would have sent a sympathy card but I'm all out and up against the Christmas card deadline wall with way too many birthdays sprinkled in. After New Years I'm determined to make a ton of them as I've sent that many this year, seems like. Just been such trying times all around. Thoughts and prayers, XOX
