Color Blocking

Hello blogland friends. Today I just have a short post for you as we have had a death in the family and so the next two weeks will prove to be quite different to expected. I also wish to take this opportunity to thank you so much for still visiting my blog when I have not had the ability to return the favor in the last weeks. I will resume my visits again as soon as possible and I look forward to that.

My project today is for the current challenge in the Share Handmade Kindness Facebook group. One of Jennifer McQuire's technique videos is the source of inspiration each month for the challenge and this month it is color blocking. I wanted a dainty background and do not have a background stamp like I wanted, so I decided to try "stamping" with an embossing folder. It took two attempts, but I was happy with the second outcome.

I stamped with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then cut the card panel into eight pieces and then inked each one with a different color Distress Oxide ink. I put the pieces back to together again and mounted the panel onto a white cardbase with craft foam behind it. The card was complete with a bold sentiment in the middle.
