So have you ever wondered why the fairies never come to help with the household chores like we expect them to? Well now you will know why. This card was inspired by my bloggy friend Donna, who creates the most beautiful fairy cards. While my technique employed here is very different to hers, the scene inspiration is thanks to her.
I created a cardpanel out of white cardstock and using Memento inks and a mini blending tool, I created a background to look like a sunrise. I cut all the parts of the Altenew Craft-a-Flower lily die from Canson Watercolor paper and added a spot of color with my watercolor paints. The fairy is a Spellbinders die that I cut out of black glitter cardstock.
I adhered the flower and the fairy to my inked cardpanel so that her wand was placed in the colored part of the flower. The sentiment is a Spellbinders die inked with Memento ink and popped up on foam tape.
I completed the card by adhering the panel to a top-folding cardbase and added a few gems from my stash. With such a big job of coloring all the flowers in the morning, it is no wonder that the fairies are too tired to do much else.
I love the Altenew Craft-a-Flower Lily die. It goes together beautifully and is so versatile. I am excited to see what the next flower will be.

Well, these fairies are very lazy, they don't want to clean up for me either :-( Monica, this card is beautiful, full of mystery. I love how you chose the colors and how beautifully shaded the edges xx
