After sizing and creating a cutline for the eagle clipart, I added an external offset to create a "halo" around it. I printed the background and the eagle on separate sheets of white cardstock so that I could cut them out separately. After having cut the prints out and running a black marker along the edge of the eagle cutout, I also cut the eagle's offset in a light yellow glitter cardstock to help it pop off the dark background. I cut the frame twice out of brown cardstock and stuck the two together to make a sturdier frame. I added the frame to the edge of the cardpanel and then glued the cardpanel to the front of a white cardbase.
I glued the eagle to the glitter cardstock and then popped the eagle element onto my card with foamtape. The sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders die out of silver cardstock. I cut each word three times and glued them together for dimension.
Using another Spellbinders die, I cut the sentiment for the inside out of brown cardstock, leaving plenty of space for handwritten sentiments and blessings inside.

A great male card. I love the background you chose for this card. He works very well with a flying eagle.
