Christmas singing

I am sharing my final project for the Colour Crazy Challenge design team and this time our sponsor is Polkadoodles. I got to work with this cute Musical Winter Winnie digi stamp.

I designed my card in Silhouette Studio. I created a rectangle measuring 4x5.25 inches and then added an internal offset at a further .25 inches. I filled the inner rectangle with a digital paper from the Shabby Collection by We Are 3 Digital Shop. I added the digi on top of the background and then drew a freehand shape around it in Silhouette Studio, filling the shape with a green gradient and lowering the opacity so that some of the plaid would show through and then placed the gradient between the background and the digi in the layers. I then printed the panel out onto Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils and a bit of gel pen here and there.

I returned the panel to the Silhouette to cut it out and then adhered it to a green cardbase. The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock with Versamark ink, embossed with detail white embossing powder and then adhered to the card with foam tape.

We look forward to seeing your projects over at the Colour Crazy Challenge blog. The challenge runs for 2 weeks and the theme is Anything Goes as long as it has hand coloring on it. No precolored or digitally colored images are allowed.

  1. Wonderful card. I am amazed by what you can do with your Silhouette. I am lucky if I can cut a simple shape!

  4. You are so good at working with digital images. I have no idea about half the things you write about. I'm left with stamps and paints, I can't catch you in the art of digi stamps processing. The card is beautiful and so complicated for me: - )
