As with all of us, I have an assortment of patterned paper and I decided that a quilt would be a great item to use some of it up on. In order to have all the pieces to make up the quilt, one ends up cutting the die out a number of times. So I cut two different solid colors to give me two frames - the pink and the purple. This allowed me to make two cards.
I glued the frames onto printer paper and then worked on the two quilts together so that they were opposite patterns of each other and used up my little pieces. Once my quilt was made, I cut the printer paper down to size and embossed the quilt to give the effect of the top stitching that happens on a real quilt.
I completed each card by adding the quilt to a card panel of the opposite color to the frame. The panel was in turn added to a top folding white notecard, with a small border showing. I printed and foiled the sentiments and added them to the cards on a cardstock matte.
I am not a fabric quilter, but these dies definitely turned me into a paper quilter. I will have some more cards to show you in the future.
