The July 2021 Sheetload of Card sketch creates twelve mini slimline cards with a postcard type base and the fold on the panel above it. It uses up two pieces of 12x12 patterned paper. I used a purple and pink theme for this sheetload. I opted to dry emboss the base card to add a bit more interest.
Cutting the paper by using the instructions, one gets six of each kind - one paper as the larger panel and the other as the smaller one. In this sheetload I was able to use some ribbon from my stash too.
I completed the cards by die cutting the word Hugs out of the white sentiment spot and then inlaying the word again cut out of dark purple cardstock. I love die cut inlays and this really looked great on these little cards.
Here is an image of the card open to show where the personal message goes. I have cut some more batches with this design, so look for some more variations in the future.

You did a wonderful job with this patterned paper. Your gift cards are beautiful, and I like that you made two types of cards with reversed patterns. You did a great job, Monica!

A great way to use up your patterned paper. Very cute. I also make envelopes out of my patterned paper and then use a white address label. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous, Monica! I especially like that you were able to create so many cards at once. I DO have tons of DP, and would like to use it, as well. Thanks for the inspiration on how to get that accomplished! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteGreat cards and smart cookie you! The paper stash grows in the darkness, I am convinced of it! LOL xoxo
ReplyDeleteCraftyAl is fantastic. I watched her back in 2019 and 2020 but haven't done anything with her designs this year. You are inspiring me to do that! I love the colors in this card. It really is a great way to use up patterned paper.
