I wanted the beads to be a center focus element on my card and so printed the digi as the focal point on white cardstock. I colored the digi with my Arteza Real Brush markers and stamped the sentiment from a Kaiserkraft stampset that I had won with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I cut the cardpanel with a Hero Arts rectangle die, I cut another panel from silver foil cardstock and adhered them together before adding the layered panel to a black cardbase. I then added Scrappy Tape to the lines on the ornament and added the little beads. They sparkle in the light and do look pretty.
We would love to see what you make with your microbeads that you have in your stash and welcome you to enter the Crash your Stash challenge this month. You have a month to enter.

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful coloring and sparkle to your card. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteHi Monica! I saw your profile on Facebook but forgot to add you as a friend. Will try to remember next time I am on. I do admire your use of the microbeads. They are like among my least favorite supply. I did buy a Martha Stewart pack of them to put them into shaker cards, so I have a lifetime supply! LOL Cute card and beaded bauble! XOX
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! I love the beads. I just ordered some from Amazon this morning. Something I didn't have. Couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Monica, we have lost touch but I thank you for your vote, not sure if it was published as I won't look, it has to be a surprise on the DT winner but maybe go back and see.... keeping in touch. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for your vote Monica. xx
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Monica! Love microbeads and really wish I still had some in my stash. I'm just now able to start catching up on visits and comments. Speaking of comments, you left one on my blog asking how I print digis onto scraps with my printer. If the scrap is at least 8.5 inches x 4 inches, my printer will draw it through as though it was a full 8.5 x 11 sheet. If it's smaller than that on either dimension, I tape it to a full sheet of printer paper then feed it through. Often, I print the digi to the sheet of printer paper before I add the scrap and that let's me know exactly where to place the scrap and also shows me if the scrap is actually large enough for that digi. Hope that helps. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Monica great colouring and shading-love the microbeads
